Licensing Section
The Licensing section issues annual permits and vessel licenses required for participation in Alaska's commercial fisheries. Research Section
The research section provides economic and statistical information on Alaska's commercial fisheries to support the Commission, policymakers, industry, and the public. Research staff analyze permit participation, transfers, earnings, permit values, and other fishery trends; prepare reports and analyses for the Commission and Board of Fisheries; and respond to requests for commercial fisheries data and research.
